I know several people who are thinking about getting a puppy for themselves or for relatives of friends. When I ask the majority of these what types of pets they're thinking about them type of laugh and say "they're just considering puppies, naturally." I am not certain what causes this specific reaction in people, but I have done my best in the last couple of months and began talking up for a cat rather than a dog.
It is correct I am somewhat biased about the advantages of having a cat over a dog.
